Accessibility in the Fan Zones

Are all activities in the Fan Zones fully accessible?

What is the surface of the Fan Zone sites?

The Fan Zone surface at Barfüsserplatz is cobblestone and artificial grass at Messeplatz.

Is there a particular entry route best suited for fans with limited mobility?
All entry routes into the Fan Zone in at Messeplatz are accessible. However, it is recommended to enter Barfüsserplatz from the same side as the tram lines.
Will Audio-Descriptive Commentary (ADC) be available at the Public Viewing?

ADC will be available directly through the Women’s EURO app, so you can tune in regardless of whether you’re in the stadium or at the Public Viewing.

Travelling to St. Jakob-Park

By public transport

The dedicated shuttles trains are not accessible for wheelchair users. Instead, use Tramline 14 towards Pratteln and disembark at Basel, St. Jakob.

Journey time from Fan Zone Barfüsserplatz: Approx. 15 mins
Journey time Fan Zone Messeplatz: Approx. 25 mins

By car (with pre-booked parking)

Only drive to the stadium if you have a confirmed parking pass issued by the UEFA ticketing team. All confirmed parking pass holders will receive an access route map and information on how to reach the parking area with their parking pass.

By taxi / rideshare
Travelling by rideshare is not recommended on matchday due to road closures and traffic restrictions around the city centre and stadium.
Stadium entrance

Use the entrance stated on your mobile match ticket as these will ensure accessibility needs are met. Entrances C/G at St. Jakob-Park are accessible.

Accessible toilets

There are a number of accessible toilets located close to the accessible seats.

Assistance / Service dogs
If you will be attending the match with an assistance dog, please contact the UEFA ticketing customer service in advance.There are specific seating locations for fans coming with assistance dogs, which include a dog-friendly area.
